Treasured Moments

I have a small confession to make.  I'm addicted to buying my girls cute outfits  for "pictures".  My husband as sweet as he is does tend to become slightly annoyed with this concept.  You see, I buy the clothing but usually they either out grow it, or I get a whole new idea or as I like to say "vision".  The outfits may not ever make their way into a photo. Well, these particular outfits I had bought originally for a beach session.  We took a short trip to the beach this summer and well that was my "vision".  Our short trip seemed even shorter once we got there. To make my kids wear white dresses and take pictures just didn't seem  fun  with such limited time.

Well, we recently found ourselves on Old Alton bridge.  The girls wore their dresses to church that morning. Perfect!  We had just a few minutes before it was too dark to shoot and off we went.  Not really trying to have a "session"  just looking around and running off some energy.  In the end I love them. I love how their hair is not perfect, I love how they aren't not posing, I love the dog, I love the feeling,  I love these times with my family.  Exporing the great outdoors.  Running on dirt roads.  It's the last few days of summer.  Soon we will pack up the sundresses and pull out the sweaters.  It just goes by too quickly!  Treasured moments.
