Bluebonnet season has to be one of my favorite times of the year. I love to pack up the girls and drive to Ennis. We spend the day running through huge fields of flowers. I take a billion pictures and start planning outfits in December. In fact we even did that before we had kids. We took our dog down to Ennis and I have a couple hundred pictures of her standing in the fields. (don't worry no outfits for her) Well with everything going on this year we sadly didn't make it out to Ennis. A client of mine heard of this little field here in Denton and I jumped at the chance to use it. I was thrilled to be able to take some bluebonnet portraits. These kids were great fun, full of energy and laughter. This is one session that is going to be extra fun going through. Here are a few that I've done so far.

We moved
That's right we moved. We started the process of selling our house back in January. Last Monday we moved into our new house. Back at the beginning of the year I had said that my focus word of the year was 'inspire' That is to be inspired and to inspire others. Little did I know that our normally chaotic lives would somehow become a whirlwind of madness. Of course anytime you sell a house and then move into a new one that is expected. 'Inspire' quickly became lost in the mayhem and my new theme seemed to become 'patience'. Everything seemed to take at least twice as long as predicted and somehow that meant costing twice as much also. We moved in with my parents while we did some work to the house. It was so nice having their help it really does take a village!
My clients have been so wonderful and understanding. I limited my sessions this spring to just a handful. I knew I would have trouble keeping up with everything. But I did underestimated the time it would take to... well paint a house:) They have all been nothing but patient. To all my wonderfully patient clients your photos are being worked on now. I know some of you have been waiting weeks and trust me when I say this. I'm on it now and I thank you for being so flexible. Stay tuned for a lot of sneak peeks coming your way!
I'm so excited about this new place because I now have a small studio space. It's going to be perfect for newborns and babies up to a year old. I can't wait to see how it all comes together. Today I had a fun opportunity to take maternity portraits. I must admit I was a bit nervous being my first time taking pictures in this space or a studio for that matter. Also, my first maternity session. I was clueless but I think it worked out. But really how could it not? This sweet girl was just as cute as could be with such a perfect little baby belly. So without further ado here are a few sneak peeks from today's session.
